Guest of honour was  Ambassador  Benedikt  Jónsson who formally took over as Ambassador of Iceland to the UK  from Sverrir Haukur Gunnlaugsson 1st October 2009

Hjörvar S. Högnason, General Manager UK & Ireland,  Icelandair,  who addressed the current situation in the tourism industry and the reaction of Icelandair to the collapse of the Icelandic banking system.

Alexander Eiríksson,General Manager SecurStore UK Ltd, provided information on company operations in the UK.

Everyone attended was well treated to the typical Icelandic ,,pönnsur“ pancakes with cream and jam, ,,kleinur“ the  Icelandic version of donuts and some other traditional delicacies.
