Annual summer reception and barbeque
This is the fourth time this popular event takes place, and as usual our luck was in and the weather was extremely good. Over 60 members and guests enjoyed a delicious meal in this most beautiful setting on the south side of the Serpentine lake. Mark Sismey-Durrant welcomed the guests and gave a short speech on the work and purpose of the BICC. He introduced the new Chariman of the chamber; William Symington, who in his speech expressed that he was looking forward to the task ahead.
The Icelandic Ambassador, Benedikt Jónsson, gave a speech about the economic situation and the importance of the BICC with strengthening relations between UK and Iceland.
